Getting set up

Perhaps I spent too much time on it, but I’ve put most of my list items into a checklist on my iphone. I’m hoping that being able to carry it around with myself and update as I finish might help.

My 101

This project will be completed October 1, 2013. The ongoing project never ends!

Italicized items are in progress.

Finish this list
Create tracking lists for all multipart items
Update employer savings plan
Check and update benefits information
Save at least $5,000 toward home, retirement, and/or other major purchase
Create a budget
Set up separate accounts for saving and splurging
Take a new homeowner’s class
Contact IRS about taxes
Increase exercise: step 1, at least 15 minutes per day.
Determine future steps for increasing exercise
Go swimming
Go swimming with A
Get recorder
Try out recorder and play with A
Eat a healthy breakfast at least 5 days per week for three months
Eat at least five fruits and veggies a day at least 6 days a week
Finish all legumes in cupboards
Go one month with no cow dairy
Go one month with no refined sugar
Go one month with no refined wheat
Go one month not eating after 7 pm
No videos or games on iphone for two weeks
Check on online graduate program options
Take at least one ceramics class per year
Take at least two other classes per year for fun and edification
Write or research for book at least two hours a week
Get at least three editing projects turned around in a week or less
Read at least 25 non-fiction books
Track a list of books read
Continue to post three things I’m thankful for at least 3 times a week

Clear off kitchen counters and keep them clear for at least a month

Get important files off of old computer

Find out old computer day at the dump
Take any hardware that I’m not using that others don’t want to the dump on computer day
Update Linux on old computer
Determine problem with CD drive on old computer and fix if possible
For one month, buy no non-essentials: no clothes, books, music, DVDs, fancy coffee or cafe coffee, etc.
Get copy of birth certificate
Get passport
Go somewhere I haven’t been in Alaska
Go somewhere I haven’t been outside of Alaska
Get library set up with R
Get sign for library with R
Get images from family and put together Mom’s book
Arrange for stained glass numbers for dad
Take cats to the vet for a checkup
Go one week without watching any tv
For one month, schedule all tv shows, and only watch shows on the schedule
Write a new list!
